Opening May 8, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat not only will be the 4th children’s theater production mounted by Momentum Collective Inc., but represents our continued commitment to advancing artistic excellence and ensuring that arts is accessible to all. The show is once again spearheaded by the dynamic creative duo of Jason Ellis and Rosslyn Burrs, and features a cast of 38 elementary and middle school age youth who have committed 4 months to providing a high-energy and overwhelmingly entertaining production. For the uninitiated, one of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. It is a story of forgiveness, family, resilience, and the power of dreams. The production is paced with music from Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics from Tim Rice, including standout numbers such as “Benjamin Calypso” and “Close Every Door”. This production is made possible through partnership with the City of Alexandria Department of Recreation Parks and Cultural Activities. Tickets are available now on our website. This is not an event to miss.
