We are hosting a creative writing workshop series at the Charles Houston Recreation Center from September 10 to October 1. This is part of the Creative Neighborhood Grant Program, and our effort to provide high quality arts education and entertainment to the Alexandria community. Funding for the Creative Neighborhood Grant Program is made possible by the City of Alexandria and an Arts Project grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Over 4 Saturdays, we will be covering poetry, monologues, short stories, and writing for 1 Acts, facilitated by distinguished artists such as Dennis Williams and Peter Abrickian. The event will also feature one hour of live performances from local artists, which is open to the general public. Youth participating in the creative writing workshops are being asked to pre-register. Registration information can be found HERE.
