After a lengthy hiatus as a direct result of COVID-19, we are excited to resume our after-school arts education program with Alexandria youth. We have a current partnership with the Alexandria Redevelopment and Housing Authority to provide arts education classes, 3 days a week to elementary and middle school youth, who attend the Ruby Tucker Family Center. Our classes cover creative writing, visual arts, dance, and drama. The free program currently serves 25 youth, made possible with the tremendous support of community volunteers. We will be expanding the program to recreation centers in the city of Alexandria over the next few months.
