In March 2017, Momentum Collective, Inc. (MC, Inc.) will mount its first fundraiser, in the form of “Not My Baby”, a hip-hop musical written, directed and produced by executive director, Jason Ellis. Keeping true to our tagline, “The Art of Service”, MC, Inc. uses the arts as the principal platform to raise funds to support a host of related program initiatives geared at improving the lives of low-income youth in the City of Alexandria.
This summer we will be hosting a 5-week performing arts camp, providing theory and practical education in dance, theater, and music. Kids will also be treated to a number of arts-focused field trips and have the opportunity to put on their own theatrical production for the community. All of this will be provided at no cost youth. We need your help to make it possible.
Please consider supporting our upcoming stage play by sponsoring a low-income resident, so that they may be able to attend the production and in turn, help us raise sufficient funds to cover the cost of the camp. You can do so through our GofundMe campaign at: Youth Performing Arts Camp. If you are in the area, we encourage you to see the production first hand as it promises to be one of the best community theater musicals of 2017.
